BJOA is published by the Bali Chapter of the Indonesian Association of Anesthesiologists and Intensive Care (PERDATIN), in collaboration with the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.
PERDATIN is an organization that consists of all anaesthetists in Indonesia to interact and exchange information about the development of anesthesiology, critical care medicine, pain medicine, and emergency medicine. PERDATIN is a member of the World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists (WFSA). More information about PERDATIN is available on their website.
The Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care is a department under the direction of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. It comprises anaesthetists based in Sanglah General Hospital of Bali, Indonesia. Its vision is to produce anaesthetists who are superior, independent, cultured, and competitive at both national and international levels. You can find out more about us on their website.
The journal is indexed in the Indonesian government indexing agencies such as Portal Garuda and SINTA.

Bali Journal of Anesthesiology, a publication of Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (Bali, Indonesia) in collaboration with the Indonesian Association of Anesthesiologist and Intensive Care (PERDATIN), is a peer-reviewed online quarterly journal. The journal's full text is available online at http://www.bjoaonline.com. The journal allows free access (Open Access) to its contents and permits authors to self-archive final accepted version of the articles on any OAI-compliant institutional / subject-based repository.

This is an open access journal, and articles are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 License, which allows others to remix, tweak, and build upon the work non-commercially, as long as appropriate credit is given and the new creations are licensed under the identical terms.
Wolters Kluwer Medknow provides for long-term digital preservation through two primary partnerships, Portico and CLOCKSS.
Portico is a leading digital preservation service worldwide. The content is preserved as an archival version and is not publically accessible via Portico, but is provided when required under specific conditions, such as discontinuation of the collection or catastrophic failure of the website.
CLOCKSS will enable any library to maintain their own archive of content from Wolters Kluwer Medknow and other publishers, with minimal technical effort and using cheaply available hardware.
Ahead of Print policy
Articles published online under the Ahead of Print model are considered published and can be cited and quoted using the DOI as the reference source. Wolters Kluwer Medknow has a policy that changes will not be made after publication of an article without following accepted procedures for making corrections to the scientific record.
While advertisements are crucial to this journal to be able to keep all content free for everyone, ethical considerations are in place to ensure the integrity of the journal and its content:
- "Pop-up" and "banner" ads appear on a random, rotating basis. The advertiser has no control or input over the pages where their ads appear.
- The Editorial Board has full and final approval over the content of all advertisements.
- Advertisers will never be shown any manuscripts or other content prior to publication.
Bali Journal of Anesthesiology is an open-access, double-blind peer-reviewed journal aiming to communicate high-quality articles in the field of anesthesiology, perioperative medicine, emergency medicine, intensive care, and pain management. Bali Journal of Anesthesiology welcomes the submission of manuscripts devoted to anesthesia and its related topics from any country in the world. We accept original articles, review articles, special report articles, case reports, letters to the editor, and case reviews. We address all aspects of anesthesia practice including perioperative medicine, anesthetic management, emergency medicine, critical care medicine, acute and chronic pain management, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, coexisting diseases in perioperative periods, complications and cost-related issues in anesthesia, emergency department, and ICU, and other topics anesthesiologists face in daily practice.
